Leap Day = Snow Day

School was cancelled today!  I'm trying to remember the last time we had a snow day and I'm not sure if there has been one since our kids have been in school.  Minnesotans are used to a lot of snow and have the equipment to clear the roads quickly so school is very rarely cancelled.  We have been enjoying unseasonably warm weather this winter and last night it rained for several hours before cooling off enough to turn to snow.  This morning there was a think layer of ice covered by several inches of heavy wet snow.  I'm pretty sure it was the ice that caused the canceling today.  No worries though- we had plenty of fun and everyone went to bed tonight without a peep they were so tired.

Yep, Mike was involved in this one.  Mike is 6 feet tall to give you a bit more reference on his Frosty's height.  The kids were in awe.  He only lasted a few hours and had fallen before bedtime.

What a fun day. Did you use the snowman kit that Camille told me about?
