I slept in while Mike explored the resort. We headed down for a nice breakfast that is included each morning with our room and then spent most of the day on the beach. The snorkeling right off our beach is pretty good, especially in the mornings. There weren't as many fish as Hanauma Bay but the coral here was way better. We did get to see the state fish of Hawaii the Humuhumunukunukuāpuaa.
Later in the evening we took a sunset whale watching tour with the Pacific Whale Foundation. We saw several humpback whales including a mother and calf nursing. The sunset on the boat was spectacular and a perfect way to end a perfect day.
