Tonight Adam competed in his first Pinewood Derby race for Cub Scouts. Our troop invites the boys turning 8 during the year to participate in the event so this was Adam's first experience with scouting. He had so much fun building the car with Mike. They worked really hard on this together and with some long hours, a little burn from touching a hot drill bit, and some extra key tips from uncle Matt, they won! During the event Adam was trying really hard to be humble and not smile too much after he'd win a heat. He ended up making a pretty funny shy, side smile most of the night. I think he was pretty happy though. Way to go Bubby!

Congratulations Adam and Mike!! Yours will be the car to beat every year. Much better experience than Uncle Matt M. had his first pinewood derby. :)
