Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve this year at Matt & Erin's house.  We ate our traditional potato leek soup in bread bowls.  Matt & Erin made a delicious and beautiful salad (seriously, I should have taken a picture), artichoke dip, and homemade apple pie.  Matt has been making pies for years and I think this was my favorite one yet!  We invited Chris Obey, a friend from church, and his cousin visiting from Liberia to join our celebrations.  It was fun to get to know them better.
In true Grandpa Gray fashion he shared a fun story with a Christmas message.  His narration of the story was fantastic!
We sang several Christmas songs accompanied by Grandpa Gray.  Adam & Anna sang and signed "Samuel Tell of the Baby Jesus".  (We learned this song in Primary this year.) Calvin tried to help out too.  We also got to hear Erin sing "Oh Holy Night" which was amazing.

Anna helped with Rachel.  She loves her so much.
We also got to open our presents from David & Jessica, a custom Christmas story complete with pictures of them as the characters.  Calvin wanted me to read it over and over.
We ended the night early at Matt & Erin's to get everyone home and in bed and finished the night by reading our final Christmas scripture about the Savior.

Yeah you posted again. I've been checking! What a nice combination of fun and Christ centered activities for your Christmas Eve. We missed you all here in Cali though.
